Robin Carey is the founder of Comprehensive Learning Specialists, LLC, established in 2022 to provide personalized educational support for students of all ages. Originally from Colorado, Robin and her family have made Anchorage their home for the past 14 years. Her background as a preschool teacher sparked a lasting passion for helping children develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

Robin graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and Sociology, and a minor in U.S. History. She was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society in recognition of her academic excellence. Robin is trained in both the Orton–Gillingham Approach and the Wired for Reading Program.

At the heart of Robin’s work is a belief that every student can succeed when given the right tools, encouragement, and opportunities to learn in ways that make sense to them. She values building strong relationships with her students, fostering an atmosphere of trust, patience, and positivity. Through her work, Robin strives to help each learner build not only academic skills, but also confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
